Can I turn OFF the 911 Assist reminder message?
911 Assist has two in-vehicle settings: ON and OFF.
When you choose to set 911 Assist OFF, you will have two options: Set OFF with Reminder and Set OFF without Reminder.
If you choose to Set 911 Assist OFF with a Reminder, each time a mobile phone is connected to SYNC, the SYNC voice will remind you that 911 Assist is Set to OFF.
If you choose to Set 911 Assist OFF without a Reminder, each time a mobile phone is connected to SYNC it will not play a voice reminder message; however, the screen will display briefly: 911 Assist OFF. If your SYNC does not have 911 Assist, it may be possible to upgrade your SYNC to make this feature available.

The vehicle's electrical system (including the battery), the wireless service provider's signal and a connected mobile phone all must be available and operating for 911 Assist to function properly. These systems may become damaged in a crash. The paired mobile phone must be connected to SYNC, and the 911 Assist feature enabled, in order for 911 to be dialed.
Only use mobile phones and other devices, even with voice commands, when it is safe to do so, and use extreme caution. Driving while distracted may take the driver’s focus off the road, which can result in loss of vehicle control, accident and injury. The driver’s primary responsibility is the safe operation of the vehicle.
